Bishop of Colombo calls for calm after attacks

It is sad that such a thing should happen in a country like ours,” Bishop Diloraj Canagasabay said. “We have our people living in harmoney and peace after going through 30 years of war… Civil war… trying to build our lives again,” Bishop Diloraj Canagasabay said.Bishop Diloraj Canagasabay called upon the people to be calm and work against destructive elements and value life above all. He also said that the people of Sri Lanka have been living in peace after the Civil War which lasted for about 30 years and the people have worked really hard to rebuild their lives. Diloraj Canagasabey, the Bishop of Colombo, on Sunday condemned bomb blasts in Sri Lanka that targetted churches and hotels in Colombo and other parts of the island nation.Bishop Canagasabay expressed sorrow that such a tragedy had befallen the people of Sri Lanka on Easter, which is considered to be the day of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
