He was previously head of knowledge management at Enterprise Oilwhere he was also responsible for directing all e-business strategy. His role is to enhance client service by ensuring the effective applicationof the knowledge and expertise available across the group. The starting point for Keeble is assessing the talent the company has andhow best to utilise it. “My remit will be to help deliver synergies acrossAon’s businesses by ensuring effective application of the knowledge availableacross the group,” he says. “One of the biggest challenges for anycompany is how to make the most of what they know and how to apply theexpertise of the employees to deliver excellent service.” Keeble enjoys the way knowledge management involves the combination of thebig picture and personal impact: “A major challenge is understanding whereknowledge management can make the biggest difference and what’s needed to makethe breakthrough,” he says. “At the same time, when you’re workingwith a team and they realise how much they know collectively, and how powerfulthey can be when they combine their knowledge, that’s amazing.” Keeble is married with three children. The Dunlop Aerospace group designs and manufactures a range ofaircraft components and systems.Hotel group Hilton has appointedAndrew Johnson as HR director for the UK and Ireland. He will be responsiblefor 15,000 employees across 76 hotels. Prior to this, Johnson held high-levelroles at Interbrew, Pizza Hut, Pepsico Food Service, Whitbread and TGI Friday.Johnson hopes to build Hilton’s brand reputation through the quality of thegroup’s people and will use the HR function to drive this strategy.Davis Fielding joins Community Fund,one of the five National Lottery distributors, as director of organisationaldevelopment. Fielding was previously director of personnel and development atthe firm, but following a restructure takes charge of the strategic changeprogrammes. He has previously held directorial posts at Lewisham Council andcharity Phoenix House.
